Business mentor, strategist & M&A advisor
Margareta Křížová
Margareta Křížová studied International and Public Relations and later complemented her education with an MBA in International Business and Marketing. In 1993, she co-founded a boutique advisory firm, where she led the M&A and business strategy division. She has been active in the business world for more than thirty years and is considered a respected figure on the Czech entrepreneurial scene. She advises companies on business strategy—how to grow, secure investment, and buy and sell companies.
After the age of fifty, however, she asked herself a question that many women quietly ask: “Is this really all there is?” The answer was clear. It was not. She decided to leave behind certainty, send her “good girl” on vacation, and start again. As a freelancer, mentor, and investor. With an empty calendar, respect for the unknown, but with a desire to make use of the experience gathered over a lifetime. Today, Margareta is a business mentor, lecturer, and investor.
She leads the NEWTON Business Accelerator at NEWTON University and works closely with incubators and accelerators. She also serves as a judge in business competitions and mentors both aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs.
She was an investor on the television show Den D (the Czech version of Dragons' Den). She also created and hosted her own radio program, Podnikání od A do ZET, and hosted a Czech Television series on entrepreneurship and financial literacy. She is a frequent guest in podcasts and expert discussions on business and investment.
She is the author of two books From an Investor's Diary: How to Do Business Without Losing Your Mind and The Third Career, where she shares her experience from the business world with perspective and humor and explores new beginnings after fifty.
Vogue Czech Republic named her among the Most Influential Women of 2023 in the field of education and mentoring.
